Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Abrodio (operated by ABRODIO GROUP LTD) uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage. In short: we use a small number of first-party technologies to run the service, and no third-party advertising or marketing trackers.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser local storage, which keeps information on your device without sending it with every request. We use the word “cookies” to cover both.

2. What we use

Everything below is strictly necessary for a feature you use, or remembers a choice you made. None of it is used for advertising or to track you across other websites.

  • Sign-in session (local storage, set by our authentication provider Supabase) — keeps you signed in. Without it you cannot use your account.
  • Saved jobs (local storage, abroadio_saved_jobs_v1) — the jobs you save. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.
  • Job search position (session storage, abrodio.jobs.ui-state.v1) — remembers your search, filters and scroll position so the Back button returns you to the same results. Cleared when you close the tab.
  • Student type preference (local storage, abrodio.studentType) — remembers whether you chose “international” or “home” student.
  • Visit source flag (session storage, abrodio_referrer_categorised) — a yes/no flag so the general type of site that referred you (for example “search engine”) is counted once per visit. It holds no identifier and is cleared when you close the tab.
  • First-party analytics — no cookies — we count page views and feature usage with our own analytics. This sets no analytics cookie and stores no identifier in your browser, so anonymous visits are not tracked across sessions.

Fonts and other page assets are served from our own website. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google’s own cookies apply on Google’s sign-in pages.

3. What we do not use

Abrodio currently does not use:

  • Analytics cookies of any kind, including our own.
  • Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel or any other third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
  • Advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.

If we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent through a cookie banner before they are set.

4. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies and site data through your browser settings at any time. If you clear local storage you will be signed out of your account.
