Editorial Policy

Abrodio publishes three distinct kinds of content, held to different standards:

• Editorial content — pages written by Abrodio (such as this policy and the About page). We write these to be accurate, plain and sourced.
• Directory data — structured information about universities, courses and jobs. This is compiled from external providers and official sources; it can change at the source at any time.
• Community content — posts and replies written by users in the Community. This is personal experience and opinion, and is not automatically endorsed by Abrodio.

We prioritise topics that international students and job seekers genuinely need help with and where a clear, sourced answer adds real value over what is already easy to find. We do not mass-produce thin pages to chase search traffic.

• Important factual claims should be supported by authoritative primary sources rather than second-hand summaries.
• Immigration and visa information should prioritise GOV.UK and the relevant official bodies (for example UK Visas and Immigration).
• University and course information should prioritise the official university source.
• Job adverts originate from external job providers or employers and may change or expire; we link back to the original advert.
• Community opinions are user-generated and are not automatically endorsed or verified by Abrodio.

Editorial pages are prepared and reviewed by Abrodio before publication. We do not operate a formal multi-stage editorial board, and we do not claim medical, legal, immigration or other regulated professional review — those are not processes we run.

When we publish higher-risk content — anything touching immigration, visas, sponsorship, money or legal matters — this is the standard it will meet: it must cite an official primary source, carry the appropriate disclaimer, and be reviewed by a person before it goes live. We do not yet publish that kind of guidance.

AI-assisted tools may be used to help draft or structure editorial content, but only where a person reviews the result before publication. AI is never the sole author of factual guidance.

Editorial pages show a “Last reviewed” date. We review time-sensitive content more often than evergreen content, and update or withdraw pages when the underlying facts change. Directory data is refreshed from its sources on a schedule and may lag the source between refreshes.

Abrodio’s editorial content is written independently of any commercial arrangement. Where a commercial relationship ever affects what is shown, we will disclose it. We do not sell favourable coverage, and job and course listings are not editorial endorsements.

• We do not provide regulated immigration, financial or legal advice.
• We do not invent reviews, ratings, awards, partnerships, statistics or endorsements.
• We do not present community opinion as official Abrodio guidance.
